Here we are the morning of the 20th arriving at the Chicago airport.  Our team was already feeling a little trepidation setting foot on this foreign Illinois soil, but we learned the strange customs and language rather quickly.  Timothy, seen here with a baseball cap, was the subject of incessant mocking because of his flowery suitcase.  Can you really blame us?

This is where our teams would split up.  I took the Spring Green team and half of our 724 kids, and Michael took his family and Danny, and we went toward our separate flights.  The first minute or two went well, but I could sense a mutiny brewing when I came back with the news that our group's terminal was "two blocks up".  Was it my fault that Mrs. Hohneke decided to pack enough luggage for 3 years in Costa Rica?  Or that the sidewalks were under construction and we had to use our Frogger skills in the road?  Or that there was no cloud cover that day and the "2 blocks" was probably closer to 5 blocks?
