Forty-Eight State Trip
October 1998

Way back in the history of Cornerstone Church lies the mythical Forty-Eight State Trip. Masked in fable and coated in mystery, the trip has become nothing short of a legend.

The idea began in the mind of Michael Fisher one autumn day. The Old Testament talks about spring as "the time when kings go out to battle" (2 Samuel 11:1). Nature itself seems to teach that fall is the time when Cornerstone Boys go out on road trips.

But this road trip would be unlike any other undertaken in the history of Cornerstone Church. Overwhelming in its simplicity, this missionary road trip would travel six-thousand miles in a week, touching all 48 states in the continental US. As a missionary journey, the team would stop in every state for at least an hour to pray and prophesy revival and God's kingdom come. And the team would drive, and drive, and drive.

In October 1998, what began as an idea quickly became a reality and has now become a legend.
